IPOH – A community forum for youths and parents will be held to raise awareness about mental wellbeing and the challenges faced by the younger generation.

The programme, themed “Our Nation, Our Children”, is scheduled to take place on September 5, 2026 (Saturday), from 2 pm to 7 pm.
The forum will be held at Dewan Sri Desa Rishah, Buntong 5, Ipoh, and is open to people of all races free of charge.
Among the main highlights are sharing sessions with professional psychologists, motivational coaches and youth representatives.
The programme will also provide an opportunity for youths and parents to seek advice and support regarding stress, loss of direction and life challenges.
Free counselling sessions will also be available through dedicated counselling spaces for men and women.
Forum chairman Dr Menon Manasa said the programme is an effort to champion the wellbeing and future of young people.
He said the organisers are targeting the participation of around 300 students together with their parents to share views and seek support.
“Issues involving mental health, suicide attempts and involvement in unhealthy activities among school students need to be given serious attention.
“Therefore, this forum serves as a platform to raise awareness, build support and help young people cope with life’s challenges,” he said.
