IPOH: Ipoh’s iconic white coffee will take centre stage at the inaugural Ipoh Coffee Vibes 2026, a four-day festival combining coffee, food, culture, music and the arts from Sept 10 to 13.
The festival will be held at Riverfront Old Town Ipoh, next to Jalan Sultan Iskandar, and is free and open to the public.
It will run from 2pm to 11pm on Sept 10, and from 4pm to 11pm from Sept 11 to 13.
Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming is scheduled to officiate the festival at 9pm on Sept 10.
The festival will showcase a variety of coffee cultures, including pulled coffee, Italian and specialty coffee, as well as coffee traditions associated with the Malay and Indian communities, alongside international brand Starbucks.
Visitors can also explore the history of Ipoh white coffee through the “White Coffee Story Corridor”, while enjoying free coffee from the Kaw Kaw White Coffee Truck.
Among the highlights are the Kita FM Concert, performances by Harmony Music Cup champions, a Mid-Autumn Festival celebration and the Kita FM RUN Ipoh 5KM.
Visitors spending RM50 or more will qualify for a lucky draw offering cash vouchers, while those spending RM100 or more can redeem an exclusive Ipoh Coffee Vibes souvenir set.
The festival is supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC), Kepayang state assembly service centre, Tourism Perak, Ipoh City Council and Malaysia Inbound Chinese Association (MICA), as well as various coffee brands and industry players.
The event aims to further position Ipoh as a coffee city, building on its reputation for white coffee while showcasing the diversity of coffee culture in the city.
