TANJUNG MALIM – A learning disability (slow learner) did not stop 21-year-old Maryanne Anthony from completing her studies and achieving success.
Sungai Siput Community College (KKSS) Information Technology Certificate graduate received her certificate scroll at the 2026 Central Zone Polytechnic and Community College Convocation Ceremony yesterday.
Originally from Chemor, Maryanne completed her studies with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.90.
She said her interest in Information Technology motivated her to choose KKSS to further her studies.
According to her, the support and guidance provided by lecturers helped her overcome various challenges throughout her studies.
“There is nothing impossible in life if we really want something,” she said.
Maryanne admitted that she was once saddened after finding it difficult to secure a place in a group during a group assignment.
However, the situation did not discourage her from remaining focused until she completed her studies.
She also described the support from her family, particularly her father, as a major source of strength throughout her educational journey.
After receiving her scroll, Maryanne hopes to pursue a diploma in Culinary Arts in the future.
