IPOH: Forty field workers from Ipoh City Council (MBI), comprising general service assistants, vehicle drivers and foremen (supervisors), received rewards for their outstanding performance on Wednesday.
The initiative, proposed by Ipoh Mayor Zamakhshari Hanipah, aims to motivate field workers and strengthen their commitment to keeping Ipoh clean and liveable.
According to an MBI statement, recipients were selected based on their monthly work performance from June to September 2026, taking into account service quality and commitment throughout the period.

The rewards were presented by Zamakhshari at a ceremony held at the Kampung Simee Community Hall.
The initiative reflects MBI’s appreciation for the dedication and contributions of its field workers, who play a vital role in ensuring smooth municipal operations and delivering services to city residents.
Each recipient received a certificate of appreciation and RM100 in cash. Their photographs and names will also be displayed at offices or prominent public locations in recognition of their achievements.
