GOPENG – Residents of RPT Desa Murni, Pinji Mewah and Ara Payong were delighted to receive food box contributions in conjunction with the Deepavali celebration.
The distribution programme was organised to reach out to the local community, particularly those in need of assistance ahead of the festive celebration.
The contributions were presented by Gopeng Member of Parliament, Tan Kar Hing, as a gesture of concern for the welfare of local residents.
He expressed hope that the contributions would benefit recipients and help ease their financial burden in preparing for Deepavali.
The initiative is also expected to bring joy to the community while strengthening ties and fostering closer relationships among residents of different ethnic backgrounds.
Tan also expressed his appreciation to all parties who extended their cooperation and support in making the welfare programme a success.
