More Than 85 Percent Teachers Received Vaccine

To date, a total of 352,649 (85 percent) teachers have received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine nationwide.

Senior Minister (Education), Datuk Dr. Radzi Jidin said a total of 52,256 members of executive groups have also received the first dose. He said this totalled to about 77.69 percent.

“Besides that, 54,930 support service employees including school bus and van operators, which is 46.64 percent of the total, also received at least one dose.

“As for the teachers of examination classes, a total of 84,995 (94.89 percent) individuals have received their first dose,” he said via a Facebook post.

He calls on members of executive groups and support service staff who have not yet received the appointment for their first dose nor registered for their vaccination to do so immediately.

He further said that details on the walk-in vaccination under the Ministry of Education, including the need for supporting documents, will be announced in the near future.

KPM Special Task Force – COVID-19 Immunisation Special Task Force (CITF) is currently working to ensure those in the school education ecosystem receive their vaccines.
