TAIPING: The persistent heavy rain over the past few days has resulted in the water level at Taiping Lake Gardens returning to normal.
This development restores the park’s beauty, characterized by its lush green lake.

The normalized water level has also drawn visitors back to enjoy recreational activities from morning to night.
Last month, the country’s hot weather caused the water level at the popular tourist spot to dry up significantly.
The 133-year-old lake dried up to the extent that its bed was visible.

This unusual phenomenon attracted many people who took the opportunity to descend to the lakebed and capture the moment.
The drying lake also caught the attention of the Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah, who visited the Taiping Lake Gardens to observe the situation after nearly a month without rain.
He was accompanied by the Raja Permaisuri of Perak, Tuanku Zara Salim, and the Menteri Besar of Perak, Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad.
