IPOH: No repair work has been carried out by the appointed contractor on the sinkhole at the Jaycee Park parking area near Taman Canning here.
Following public complaints, barriers were placed around the pothole.
However, a month has passed and there are no signs that the pothole will be repaired.
An observation by Ipoh Echo reporters at the location found that barriers are still in place around both pothole.
In fact, some have moved the barriers to cover the pothole. And are now using it as a dumpster!
Possibly due to the prolonged wait for the responsible parties to take action.
It is hoped that the relevant authorities will monitor the situation and take immediate action to resolve the issue.
Last July, Ipoh Echo reported that the sinkhole in the Jaycee Park parking area near Taman Canning poses a danger to the public.
Shortly after the news was published, authorities took notice and placed barriers around the pothole.
