IPOH: Practice hones preparedness.
To test efficiency, a fire drill was conducted at Tiger Casting Factory located in the Pengkalan 2 Industrial Area here.
The drill involved active participation from the Alpha Team of the Pasir Puteh Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) and the factory’s Emergency Response Team (ERT).
The objective of the activity was to enhance the preparedness level of factory staff and ensure compliance with fire safety procedures in the event of a real incident.
During the drill, the fire department conducted fire and emergency evacuation simulations, including safety briefings and demonstrations on the use of fire extinguishers.
Such drills are crucial to ensure factory workers can respond quickly and effectively during emergencies.
It also provided the fire department an opportunity to assess the effectiveness of the evacuation plan and existing safety systems at the industrial premises.
The management of Tiger Casting Factory also expressed appreciation to BBP Pasir Puteh for their cooperation and commitment in ensuring workplace safety remains at the highest standard.
The drill concluded in a controlled manner, with all training objectives successfully achieved without any injuries or untoward incidents.
