IPOH – An illegal dumpsite has been spotted at the end of Persiaran Meru Utama, Bandar Meru Raya, roughly 400 metres from the exit of Tenby International School.
A survey by Ipoh Echo revealed that the trash heap is believed to have been caused by the irresponsible actions of residents from nearby housing areas.
Among the discarded items were gas stoves, mattresses, kitchen appliances, and various other waste that marred the area’s appearance.

More concerning is that a signboard prohibiting illegal dumping put up by the Ipoh City Council (MBI) has been blatantly ignored.
Adding to the problem, stagnant water has formed in the same area, posing a risk as a potential breeding ground for Aedes mosquitoes.
The unsightly scene is not only an eyesore but also a health hazard for the local community.
Local authorities are urged to take immediate action to clear the illegal waste and eliminate the stagnant water, which could worsen if heavy rains continue.
