Save 30% at Agro Madani Sale During ‘Perak Agrofest 2025’

GOPENG: Visitors to Perak Agrofest 2025, taking place at Ladang Infoternak in Sungai Siput from 26 to 28 September, can enjoy discounts of up to 30%.

Chairman of the Perak Rural Development, Plantation, Agriculture, and Food Industry Committee, Datuk Mohd Zolkafly Harun, said the Agro Madani Sale (Jualan Agro Madani – JAM) @ Pasar Tani Mesra is one of the main attractions of the carnival.

“The JAM programme is organised in collaboration with several agricultural agencies including the Perak State Agricultural Development Corporation (SADC), Malaysian Pineapple Industry Board (LPNM), Malaysian Fisheries Development Authority (LKIM) and Farmers’ Organization Authority (LPP).

“There will also be periodic ‘Happy Hour’ sales throughout the carnival,” he said.

Mohd Zolkafly said, the carnival serves as a platform to strengthen the market for agricultural products and to promote local agro-food offerings.

According to him, this year’s event, organised by FAMA Perak, features four main clusters, Food Empire, Agro-Based Food Industry (IMAT), Floriculture and Agro Madani Sale (JAM) @ Pasar Tani Mesra.

“In addition, there will be 12 thematic zones for visitors to explore, including Paddy Zone, Agriculture Zone, Innovation, Technology & Machinery Zone, Veterinary Zone, Pineapple Zone, Blue Economy Zone, Government Agencies Zone, Zoo & Night Safari Zone, Agro Madani Sale Zone Floriculture Zone Food Empire Zone and Agro-Based Food Industry Zone,” he said.

He said this during a recent press conference at the Rural Transformation Centre (RTC) Gopeng, which was also attended by FAMA Perak Director, Azleena Zainal Abidin.

He added that the Food Empire Stage will host a variety of engaging activities.

“To liven up the atmosphere, there will be events such as local entrepreneur product launches, children’s colouring contests, Gegar Suara AgroStar karaoke competition, interactive Kahoot! quizzes.

“Other than that, cooking demonstrations, coconut peeling and watermelon eating contests, a traditional costume contest (Musang Berjanggut), family puzzle challenges, and live busking performances,” he said.

Perak Agrofest 2025 is expected to draw visitors of all ages, celebrating local agriculture, food, innovation, and community.
