KUALA KANGSAR: Buffet Barokah is a unique initiative at Teratak D’ Pahlawan in Kampung Cheh Hulu, Kati, combining dining with an opportunity to give to charity.

With prices as low as RM10 for adults and RM5 for children, visitors can enjoy a feast-style buffet featuring traditional village dishes, similar to food served at a kenduri (communal feast).

Teratak D’ Pahlawan is located in Kampung Hulu Cheh, a traditional Malay village surrounded by family-owned fruit orchards.
It is situated about two kilometers from the main road connecting Kuala Kangsar to Lenggong, making it easily accessible to visitors.

Buffet Barokah is the brainchild of the founder of Teratak D’ Pahlawan, Datin Wanita Wari, who aims to offer affordable afternoon meals with the intention of giving back through charity.
It is held every Saturday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Datin Wanita said the Buffet Barokah menu changes weekly to ensure visitors can enjoy a variety of dishes each time they come.
“This Saturday we are hosting a special School Holiday Buffet Barokah.
“Among the main dishes served are lemang, beef rendang, and Singapore-style fried vermicelli (bihun Singapura). For desserts, there will be kuih kaswi, kuih sagu, and boiled cassava.
“Guests can also enjoy sweet treats such as banana pengat, biscuit porridge (bubur biskut kapal), and rambutan gading.
“To quench their thirst, two special drinks are provided: kopi tenggek and iced lime juice, which are sure to be refreshing.
“Kopi tenggek is our signature drink—hot black coffee cooked or ‘hung’ over a charcoal stove. Its aroma truly captivates lovers of traditional black coffee,” she said.

In addition to enjoying delicious food, visitors can also take part in karaoke and sing their favorite songs for entertainment.
With its relaxed and friendly atmosphere, Buffet Barokah at Teratak D’ Pahlawan promises an unforgettable experience for everyone who attends.
