Pedestrian Path Around PUO to Taman Cempaka Needs Immediate Cleaning

By Aida Aziz

IPOH: The pedestrian path around Ungku Omar Polytechnic (PUO) to Taman Cempaka here needs to be cleaned and maintained regularly for the comfort and safety of the public, especially students who use it every day.

An Ipoh resident claimed that the path has not been properly maintained for a long time, leaving it in a neglected state with overgrown grass, in addition to tree roots that have damaged the walkway.

“This complaint is made because we, as Ipoh residents, see the condition of the path as very disheartening.

“This path is a main daily link for PUO students and those from the Perak Islamic Administration Institute (INTIM) who want to go to Taman Cempaka.

“I hope the relevant authorities can take immediate action to maintain this pedestrian path to ensure users’ comfort, and that it is cleaned on a regular basis.

“I feel sorry for the students who are forced to use this pedestrian path because it is no longer clean, with long grass, rusty fences, and tree roots that have grown and damaged the path,” he said.

He hopes the issue can be resolved as soon as possible by the authorities concerned for the sake of Ipoh city’s image in general and public convenience in particular.
