The Rotary Club of Ipoh (District 3300), serving the community since 1930, carried out a community outreach at SK Sungai Itek in Gopeng as part of its ongoing efforts to support students from lower income families.
The initiative involved the distribution of Physical Education T-shirts under its Rotary Public Image Programme, ensuring students are equipped for school activities.
The club also continued its support through the MyKasih Smart Card initiative, which provides monthly financial assistance to eligible students.

Over the past four years, the MyKasih programme has channelled approximately RM230,000 in aid, benefiting hundreds of students.
Monthly assistance has been increased from RM80 to RM100 per student in response to rising living costs.
The outreach was led by Rotary Club of Ipoh President Edwin Seibel and attended by YB Sandrea Ng, ADUN Teja, and YB Tan Kar Hing, Member of Parliament for Gopeng.
Also present were the school’s head, Tuan Haji Zamzuri Osman bin Abdul Aziz, along with teachers, parents, and fellow Rotarians.

The Rotary Club of Ipoh continues to carry out programmes across Perak focused on education, healthcare, and community welfare.
These include scholarships, free medical and dental initiatives, autism awareness programmes, and support for vulnerable groups.
The initiative was supported by partners and donors, including the Perak State Government.
