Ipoh Arts Collective Presents Original Musical Season of Postcards

Ipoh Arts Collective will proudly present their original musical production, Season of Postcards, which will be staged on 1 and 2 August 2026 at the Auditorium RTM, Jabatan Penyiaran Negeri Perak. More than 100 performers from eight performing arts academies across Ipoh will unite on one stage for this original musical.
Season of Postcards is a heartfelt story about three sisters, their niece and their aunt as they journey through grief, healing and hope following a family tragedy. Through music, drama and dance, the production explores themes of resilience, compassion and the importance of family, while celebrating the power of the performing arts to bring people together. Through its heartfelt story, the musical also seeks to raise awareness of the often unseen challenges faced by individuals living with physical and emotional trauma.
The production serves as a collaborative platform for participants from diverse backgrounds and performing arts centres to gain first-hand experience performing in a professional theatre environment. Organised entirely on a volunteer basis, the project aims to nurture talent, foster empathy and promote inclusivity through meaningful storytelling.
In support of a greater social cause, proceeds from the concert will be donated to Noah’s Ark Ipoh, a local animal welfare organisation dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming abandoned and stray animals. This is in support of its recovery efforts following the devastating fire incident earlier this year. Through this initiative, the Ipoh Arts Collective hopes to demonstrate how the performing arts can create a meaningful impact beyond the stage by giving back to the community.
