By Zaki Salleh

BATU GAJAH: The Batu Gajah District Council (MDBG) carried out an enforcement operation to demolish illegal structures in Taman Tronoh Indah, Tronoh.

The operation was conducted to remove unauthorised structures built on government land and road reserves.

The enforcement action was carried out under Section 46(1)(a) of the Street, Drainage and Building Act 1974 (Act 133).

MDBG stressed that constructing or installing any structure on government land or public road reserves without prior approval is an offence under the law.

According to the council, road reserves and public access routes must be preserved to ensure public safety and convenience.

These public spaces must not be misused for individual or private interests.

MDBG said enforcement action will continue to be carried out firmly and fairly against those who violate the law.

The council also urged the public to obtain the necessary approvals before undertaking any construction or installation of structures.

It added that public cooperation and civic responsibility are essential to keeping Batu Gajah clean, safe, orderly, and prosperous.
