LUMUT: Business activities at Teluk Batik recreational beach continue to support the local economy, but regular enforcement remains crucial to ensure cleanliness, regulatory compliance and the comfort of visitors.
Enforcement officers from the Manjung Municipal Council (MPM) recently carried out a monitoring and enforcement operation at the popular beach to ensure traders and visitors complied with existing regulations.
The operation also included inspections of the recreational area’s cleanliness, with officers checking that visitors disposed of their rubbish responsibly after their activities.
In a statement, MPM said no litter was found to have been left behind by visitors during the inspection, reflecting encouraging public awareness of the importance of keeping public spaces clean.
The inspection also covered traders operating at the beach, with officers confirming that they had paid the required fees to Teluk Batik management in accordance with the regulations.
Enforcement personnel also monitored the improper disposal of cigarette butts in public areas as part of efforts to maintain a clean and pleasant environment for beachgoers.
MPM thanked both visitors and traders for their cooperation and compliance with the established rules, adding that continued public support is essential to ensure Teluk Batik remains clean, well-managed and a preferred recreational destination.
