IPOH: Two teenage girls were killed while another was seriously injured after the motorcycle they were riding collided with a car at Taman Perpaduan Ria, Tambun here today.
Perak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) assistant director of operations Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad said the accident occurred at 7.22am and involved a Yamaha EZ115 motorcycle and a Proton Saga.

He said the three victims were school students comprising the motorcycle rider and two pillion riders.
“Two of the victims were pronounced dead by the Ministry of Health (MOH) medical personnel at the scene, while another was seriously injured and semi-conscious,” he said.

Sabarodzi said personnel from the Tambun Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) rushed to the scene and provided initial treatment to the injured victim.
“The victim was fitted with a cervical collar before being transported to a hospital for further treatment.
“The injured victim was identified as Fatimah, 12, while the identities and ages of the two victims who died have yet to be established.
“The driver of the Proton Saga was uninjured,” he said.
He added that the bodies of the two victims were handed over to the administration for further action.
