BATU GAJAH – The Deepavali festive atmosphere has become more vibrant with the installation of decorative lights around Tronoh and Batu Gajah.
The installation of the festive lights began in Tronoh last night before continuing in Batu Gajah.
The initiative was carried out by Batu Gajah Member of Parliament, V. Sivakumar, and Tronoh State Assemblyman (ADUN), Steven Tiw.

Adding a special touch to this year’s decorations are customised lights featuring the traditional Diya design to enhance the festive atmosphere.
The initiative aims to bring joy to the Hindu community celebrating Deepavali.
It also reflects an ongoing commitment to enliven the towns with festive decorations for Deepavali, Hari Raya Aidilfitri and Chinese New Year.
The festive lights are more than just decorations, as they symbolise unity, mutual respect and the spirit of togetherness in a multiracial society.
The initiative also serves as a symbol of harmony among Malaysians who celebrate the country’s diverse cultures and religions.
This approach is expected to strengthen community ties and foster a spirit of mutual respect.
Warm wishes are extended to all Hindus celebrating Deepavali, with hopes that the festival brings happiness, joy and blessings to all.
