Ipohites now have more options for hairdressing, aromatherapy and beauty services at affordable prices thanks to Euphoria Hair and Beauty Academy. Besides that, the institution also provides practical training by professionals in those disciplines.
Open to Malaysians above 16 years of age, especially school leavers and working adults who wish to obtain certified skills, Euphoria Academy offers four core courses: aromatherapy (The Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM) Level 3), beauty (SKM Level 2 and 3), hairdressing (SKM level 2 and 3) and make up artistry (SKM level 2 and 3). Every course has a capacity of 25 students.
Among its benefits include reasonable fees, hands-on experience while learning and entrepreneurial opportunities. For instance, the beauty programme (SKM Level 2 and 3) costs RM15,000 for a duration of 15 months.
“Corporate social responsibility is always our priority. We provide free haircuts for orphans from selected homes twice a year and conduct grooming classes for single mothers who wish to work,” Ena Farizan Dato’ Roshidi, the managing director of Euphoria Academy said during its soft launch cum media night held recently at its premises.
“My aim is to create skilled human resources of all ethnicities to accommodate the development of Ipoh and the country. Right now, we’re training five students who will be graduating in June next year,” said Dato’ Haji Roshidi Hashim, chairman of Euphoria Academy. Roshidi was Ipoh mayor from 2008 to 2014. He will contribute to the state via the academy just like he did when he helmed Ipoh City Council.
The academy holds Muslimah Day every Thursday to cater for female customers. Clients can either make a reservation or just walk-in.
