Restoration of Domestic Tourism

The fact that operation of domestic tourism is re-allowed has received a warm welcome from the Perak State Bumiputera Tourism Entrepreneurs Association (PPPBNP).

When contacted, their chairman, Zamari Muhyi, described the newly announced Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) as a gleam of hope to all tourism industry players in Perak.

“PPPBNP will work hand-in-hand with the state government to jumpstart all tourism activities for Perakeans via the Travel Perak programme to ensure they are arranged and planned according to the new norm,” he enthused. “We will also be launching the 101 Perak tourism package which hopefully spurs the state’s halted tourism sector due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We will also ensure Perak’s tourism products are made known and visited on a wider scale,” Zamari added. “To do so, we will continue existing tourism activities with the Travel Voucher programme which is due for launch soon by Tourism Perak through the state government.”

According to earlier announcements from Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, adherence to standard operating procedures (SOP) by the Ministry of Health is of utmost importance in preventing further infection of the deadly virus.
