State Secretariat Building Staff Tested Positive for COVID-19

A staff from the state secretariat building of Perak here in Ipoh was confirmed to have contracted the COVID-19 virus after undergoing a health screening. 

As a precautionary step, the Menteri Besar’s office was ordered to close temporarily. Sanitising process has been done based on standard operating procedures (SOPs) set by the Ministry of Health (MOH). 

According to a statement released by the MB’s office today (November 5), the State Health Department (JKNP) has performed close contact tracing of the said staff. 

All officers and personnel of MB’s office were ordered to undergo self-quarantine at home and monitor their health status until further instructions are given by JKNP. 

For information, Dato’ Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu has not been present at his office due to a parliamentary sitting. 

Faizal had undergone health screening yesterday and results returned negative.
