Apart from ensuring proper city administration, Ipoh City Council (MBI) cares for the unfortunate.
Under the MBI Prihatin programme, the council aided orphanage homes and the poor under the Pertubuhan Baitul Aini via contribution of food boxes.
The contribution received collaboration from Econsave Supermarket that provided RM2,000 worth of edible goods, such as rice, sugar, cooking oil, milk and biscuits.
MBI City Councillor for Zone 16, Datuk Ahmad Hariri Kamarudin expressed hope that the food boxes will be able to somehow reduce their burden.
He added, MBI also presented RM1,000 in cash to accommodate necessities of 18 residents of the homes, comprising male children and teenagers aged between six to 17.
Ahmad Hariri was met during the MBI Prihatin aid contribution ceremony in town today (March 6).
Also in attendance was the supermarket manager for Econsave (Jelapang Branch), Shah Effendy Rosman.
Meanwhile, founder of the Pertubuhan Baitul Aini, Datin Noraini Abdullah thanked MBI who frequently channeled aid and collaboration in ensuring top living conditions of the home residents.
“We’re touched and thankful for MBI’s concern, who never fails to aid this association in many ways,” she expressed.
