MBI Lights Up in Solidarity with Palestine and for Ipoh City Day Celebration

Spotlights shining in the colours of the Palestine flag lit up three locations in the city of Ipoh as the Ipoh City Council (MBI) shows solidarity with the Palestinians who are being shown violence by the Zionist regime.

Mayor Datuk Rumaizi Baharin @ Md Daud explained that the lights installed at the Ipoh Town Hall, MBI headquarters and the clock tower of the MBI Square (Menara Jam Dataran Bandaraya) would light up daily from 8pm till 12 midnight starting yesterday (May 21) till May 31.

“The installation of the lights is also in line with the celebration of the 33th Ipoh City Day this May 27.

“MBI continues to celebrate Ipoh City Day following the new normal in the period of Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO).

“MBI also supports the world’s condemnation towards the violence against Palestinians,” he said via a media statement yesterday (May 21).

According to Rumaizi, MBI is also committed to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I hope members of the public will continue to provide cooperation to the authorities especially during this period of EMCO. The discipline in adhering to SOPs should be maintained and become a practice in order to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all,” he advised.
