I am a closet cook. There, my secret is out!
I don’t only do food reviews but I also enjoy cooking up a storm. My happiest moments are when I am expecting a bevy of my friends over for lunch or dinner, planning the menu four or five days in advance, shopping for ingredients and for some dishes, beginning the preparation a few days ahead.
But of course with the current pandemic and the never-ending lockdowns and SOPs, my chef wings have been clipped and as a single person, cooking for oneself becomes a chore.
I watch cooking videos instead. Especially when the Chef is demonstrating some of my favourite foods.
Recently I was most surprised when on opening my YouTube channel, I discovered Harrish Kumar, Chef and proprietor of Tamara’s, demonstrating his wonderful recipes and with promises of printable recipes to come. He now calls himself Chef Rish.
I have always loved Harrish’s cooking and since the opening of Tamara’s in 2018, I have been an avid fan.
