Don’t know where to dispose of the electrical and electronic equipment that are an eyesore at your home? Don’t worry, because Ipoh citizens can send the items to be exchanged for money at the 6th Series E-waste collection programme for the month of October 2022.
This collect and compile programme will be held on October 15 and 16.
The Ipoh City Council (MBI) informed in a statement that the collection time will be from 8 am to 1 pm.
The statement said, this E-waste programme will be held every Saturday and Sunday of the third week of every month until next November 30.
“People are invited to participate and bring their E-Waste such as laptops, computers, mobile phones, refrigerators, air conditioners, washing machines and other electrical equipment to exchange for money.
“However, it does not include used lamps and used batteries.
“Each entry has a chance to participate in a lucky draw prize of RM10,000 in cash provided by MBI,” said the statement.
At the same time, participants also have the opportunity to participate in a lucky draw prize provided by the Department of Environment (DOE) amounting to RM33,000 at the state level.
