MPT’s E-Waste Collection Programme Is Well Received

A total of 71 E-Waste items were successfully collected for the Electrical and Electronic Waste (E-Waste) Collection Campaign held at the Batu Kurau Pavilion grounds last Saturday.

The campaign which started from 8.30 am to 11.30 am, was an initiative of the Taiping Municipal Council (MPT) in promoting recycling.

MPT in a statement informed that the total income earned by the residents by selling the goods was RM91.

According to the statement, the concept of this campaign is to bring along electronic waste items to be disposed of to the collection point.

“Each E-Waste item will receive a token according to the price that has been set.

“Congratulations and well done to the people of Batu Kurau for supporting this campaign,” said the statement.

The next campaign will be held at the Taman Aun Say Public Hall on October 29 from 9 am to 12 noon.
