TNB improves the customer experience among the Orang Asli community

Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) recently welcomed the Orang Asli community in Kampung Kuala Mu, Sungai Siput (U) through the Day With Customers Programme.

One of the tasks that involved 120 community members was to improve their knowledge about energy efficiency.

Perak State Retail Head of TNB, Ir. Mohd Azhar Abd Rashid said, “TNB is concerned in ensuring that the community here is aware and always practises the appropriate safety measures for the use of electricity to avoid any unwanted accidents.

“We also hope that a programme like this can further improve TNB’s level of service to customers from every level of society in the city and the countryside, further strengthening the relationship between the two parties.

“This programme is an initiative to create open communication channels with customers to improve their experience with relevant energy solutions based on current needs.

“At the same time, they can share operational information and facilities offered by TNB, in addition to applying awareness about safety tips when using equipment electricity,” he said in a media statement in conjunction with the Day with Customers Programme, recently.

Also present were Assistant District Officer of Sungai Siput, Nur Shamin Idayu Shuhami; Kuala Kangsar District Orang Asli Development Officer, Muhammad Hazwan Sabri and representative of Police Chief Sg. Siput, Sergeant Ismail a/l Yahya.

Azhar then completed a tree-planting event at the Kampung Kuala Mu Multi-Purpose Hall grounds, as a symbol of encouraging the local community to continue protecting the environment.

He said the activity was in line with TNB’s commitment to the Environment, Social and Governance (ESG), especially in forming a caring attitude and practising care for the environment.
