IPOH: The swift action taken by the Ipoh City Council (MBI) to clear fallen tree branches blocking a main drainage canal along Jalan Lasam today deserves commendation.
The obstruction was reported earlier via MBI’s WhatsApp complaint channel after large branches were seen covering the primary drainage route in the area.
The situation had raised concerns as it posed the risk of obstructing water flow, particularly during heavy rain.
MBI’s prompt response in resolving the issue reflects the local authority’s continued commitment to public safety and the maintenance of essential infrastructure.
The affected canal is one of the main drainage outlets for rainwater in the area.
Regular maintenance is crucial to ensure the drainage system functions efficiently, especially in the face of unpredictable weather patterns.
