IPOH, June 19 — The Ipoh Restoration Project Vol 1 Arts and Music Festival is set to take place on June 28, 2025, at 6 pm along Jalan Bijeh Timah, here.
The event is a privately-led initiative spearheaded by Community HOPI, the Malaysia Perak Art Society, and local musicians, in collaboration with Tourism Perak.
According to the organisers, similar collaborations had previously been carried out on a smaller scale to test market response and were found to have successfully attracted both domestic and international tourists.
“All planned activities are expected not only to revitalise Ipoh’s creative landscape but also to boost tourism and elevate local artistic talent to the international stage, in line with similar successful efforts seen in Penang and Kuala Lumpur.
“This initiative also supports the growth of local entrepreneurs while providing greater market access to Ipoh’s artistic and musical talents,” the statement read.
The festival will feature a range of activities including live busking performances, a mini orchestra, art workshops, interactive art sessions, pop-up stalls, and more.
The event also highlights multicultural participation and offers local entrepreneurs the opportunity to explore new markets through the lens of arts and culture.
