IPOH: Two male Indonesian workers were trapped in a malfunctioning skylift at a height equivalent to four stories near the Team Keris Berhad building, Jalan Raja Dihilir, early this morning.
Perak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Assistant Director of Operations, Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad, said the incident occurred at around 1:38 a.m.
He said seven personnel from the Ipoh Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) rushed to the scene.
“They were trapped while installing a banner on the building.
“The fire department conducted a size-up and monitoring, but rescue efforts could not be carried out due to the height involved.
“The company eventually brought the victims down this morning with assistance from a private party,” he said here today.
