If you’ve never spent a Sunday afternoon at the races, this is your chance.
Perak Turf Club (PTC) is rolling out the welcome mat for Community Day 2025, and this time, everyone gets in free. That’s right—no admission charge, no dress codes to fuss over, just come as you are and enjoy an afternoon of excitement, food, and that unmistakable buzz of race day.

And there’s real energy building for the Community Shield Race. This is the one to watch—big prize, strong contenders, and a bit of buzz in the air. With RM100,000 in prize money, this feature race is drawing plenty of attention. Puan Sri Sandra Lee will be on hand to present the Cup to the winning team.

PTC Chairman Dato’ John Lim shared his vision for the event:
“We’re building something bigger. The dream is to turn PTC Community Day into a full-on celebration—with music, stage shows, and vendors. Something for everyone.”
While this year remains a classic race day, with food stalls and a relaxed atmosphere, the festival-style vision with music and vendors is something PTC is working towards in the coming years.
Expect ten races throughout the day, with local food and drink stalls to keep everyone fuelled. The dress code? Casual. The vibe? Easy-going. And if you need a break from the action, Sin Yoon Loong @ PTC is just a short stroll away for kopi and kaya toast.

First-timers, take note—don’t miss being on the iconic Public Grandstand. With sweeping views of the track and a long-standing place in Malaysian racing history, it’s where generations of racegoers have gathered to cheer, chat, and catch every finish.
If you’ve never been, this is the perfect day to see it for yourself.
