The premises was found to be overcrowded, failed to meet animal welfare standards, and caused disturbances to local residents in terms of cleanliness and odor.

Following the inspection, a 14-day notice was issued to the premises owner.

This was due to the offense of operating an unlicensed animal shelter, in violation of licensing requirements for premises under 93 square meters.

In addition, the owner was issued a RM250 compound under the relevant Local Government By-Laws.

MPM stated it will conduct a follow-up inspection once the notice period ends, to ensure full compliance with the issued directives.

MPM also emphasized that it will tighten the approval process for license applications for similar premises in the future as a preventive measure against recurrence.
