IPOH: A judging visit for the Toilet of The Year Award (TOTYA) 2025, under the petrol station category within the Ipoh City Council (MBI) jurisdiction, was held at the Shell Petrol Station on Jalan Hospital here.
The judging was carried out by a panel of three individuals appointed by the Local Government Department (JKT) under the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT).
During the visit, Shell Petrol Station operator Bahakhi Mohammad presented a briefing on the Smart Toilet concept, highlighting cleanliness, safety, and modern features.
The explanation received positive feedback from the panel of judges.
The TOTYA 2025 initiative is hoped to raise public awareness about the importance of toilet cleanliness.
At the same time, it serves to recognize the efforts of private entities in providing public toilet facilities that meet the BMW standard — Bersih (Clean), Menawan (Attractive), and Wangi (Fragrant).
The toilet at Shell Petrol Station, Jalan Hospital, was also the winner of the 2024 Cleanest Public Toilet Competition organized by MBI under the petrol station category.
