KUALA KANGSAR – Over 7,000 visitors attended the first Hari Kuale Lenggang 2025, a festival blending culture, heritage, lifestyle, and sports in the Royal Town.
The Kuala Kangsar Municipal Council (MPKK), with Think City, Yayasan Hasanah, and Visual Motion Lab, organised the event, drawing inspiration from the popular Kuale Car Free Day and expanding it with more diverse offerings.

Lenggang Kuale 5KM Fun Run, a 25KM cycling tour, Explorace Warisan dan Budaya, Orang Asli Ulu Bekor cultural performances, traditional food stalls, and multi-ethnic cultural showcases by the Malay, Chinese, and Indian communities drew large crowds.

MPKK president Dr Sakduddin Zamli, who officiated the flag-off for the fun run, cycling, and heritage race, said the festival showcased Kuala Kangsar’s potential as a cultural and tourism hub while generating spillover benefits for local businesses.
“Hari Kuale Lenggang is not just a celebration, but a manifestation of community spirit that strengthens Kuala Kangsar’s identity as a centre of heritage and tourism,” he said.

Local traders and entrepreneurs also expressed their appreciation for the opportunity, noting that the event helped boost their income while promoting Kuala Kangsar’s unique products.
MPKK stated that it intends to transform Hari Kuale Lenggang into a biennial signature event, featuring more creative programs, strategic collaborations, and broader community participation in the years to come.
