IPOH, April 12 — Perak Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Saarani Mohamad has urged local entrepreneurs to rise above challenges and seek solutions instead of lamenting current economic difficulties.
He said traders must be more proactive in navigating global economic pressures by making informed decisions and choosing business sectors that suit the time, location and current market conditions.

Saarani stressed that the present economic situation, partly influenced by conflict in the Middle East, should be seen as a challenge for entrepreneurs to explore new opportunities.
“We acknowledge that the ongoing conflicts have created pressures such as rising costs and issues related to oil supply.
“However, we must not allow these circumstances to confine us.
“Our experience during the Covid-19 pandemic proved that challenges can spark innovation and creativity among traders.
“At that time, many entrepreneurs successfully adapted by leveraging digital platforms such as WhatsApp and Shopee to sustain their businesses,” he said.

He was speaking to reporters after officiating the closing of the 13th Annual General Meeting of the Perak Malay Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DPPM) and its Hari Raya Aidilfitri open house at the Impiana Hotel.
Also present was DPPM Perak president Amirudin Tajudin.
Meanwhile, Saarani also encouraged DPPM Perak members to seize opportunities in emerging economic sectors that are more resilient and competitive.
This includes forging collaborations with regional trade partners and leveraging the country’s economic potential and stability.
