IPOH: Illegal dumping, carried out without regard for its impact such as pollution and the spread of disease, has been reported along Jalan Tawas Mewah here.
Piles of rubbish, including plastic waste and discarded items such as damaged furniture, were left by the roadside by irresponsible individuals, possibly unwilling to dispose of them at proper waste collection points.
If left unchecked, such actions could turn the surrounding area into an unofficial dumpsite and attract the presence of stray animals.
Maintaining cleanliness and protecting the environment is a shared responsibility, and should not be left entirely to the authorities.
