TAPAH: A female hiker who was found safe last Saturday after being reported missing for two weeks at Gunung Batu Putih, Jaslinda Saludin, 49, is now reported to be in improving health and is looking forward to attending her child’s convocation ceremony, which is expected to take place soon.
The positive development was shared during a visit to her at Hospital Tapah, held this afternoon, which was also attended by several relevant parties.

According to the update, Jaslinda’s recovery progress is showing significant improvement and she hopes to be discharged soon in order to attend her child’s convocation.
“However, she shared earlier that there were no mystical disturbances, and she had survived by relying on river water and was able to rest properly,” according to the statement obtained.
She also recounted the frightening moments throughout the Search and Rescue (SAR) operation, including hearing helicopter sounds, attempting to blow a whistle, and finding notes along the search route. However, she was not located earlier, possibly due to being in the opposite direction of the search teams.

The visit was also joined by Perak State Health Exco YB Dato’ Sivanesan A/L Achalingam, Batang Padang District Officer Tuan Ahmad Redhauddin Ahmad Shokori, Tapah Hospital Director Dr. Wan Immi Salim, and Perak Broadcasting Director Karim Sadiran.
All parties extended their prayers and well wishes for Jaslinda’s continued strength and full recovery.
