Resurfacing of Taman Rishah Road to Be Reviewed

By Zaki MS

IPOH – The resurfacing issue, particularly involving Persiaran Rishah 4 in Taman Rishah here, has received the attention of Jelapang State Assemblyman (ADUN) Cheah Pou Hian.

He said his office had taken note of residents’ comments and feedback regarding the condition of infrastructure in the area.

According to him, the matter would be referred to the relevant authorities and agencies for further review.

“Road resurfacing works are determined based on technical assessments and not solely on the age of the road.

“Roads identified as requiring resurfacing will be submitted for consideration and funding applications.

“The implementation of the works is subject to approval and the availability of funds,” he said.

Cheah said roads that remain in good and safe condition may not require complete resurfacing.

However, damaged sections would be repaired based on technical assessments by the relevant authorities.

He said work priorities also take into account the extent of damage, safety considerations and current needs, given the limited maintenance allocation.

Regarding Persiaran Rishah 4, he said he would seek further clarification on the status of its technical assessment and its position in the resurfacing plan.

He also expressed appreciation for residents’ concern in providing information regarding infrastructure conditions in the Jelapang area.

According to him, every complaint and request would be given due attention and followed up with the relevant agencies in accordance with the appropriate procedures and priorities.
