LUMUT – The patriotic spirit in conjunction with National Month 2026 continues to be strengthened through various activities.
Among them was the Kembara Merdeka 2026 Jelajah Perak 7.0 motorcycle convoy, which took place in Lumut.
The programme saw 85 motorcyclists from the Taiping Motorcycle Club participating in the convoy.
The event was also enlivened by members of Ladies Rider Manjung (LRM) and KRT Lumut, who came forward to support the programme.
The LRM group, comprising female riders, was also joined by Pangkor State Assemblywoman (ADUN) Norhaslinda Zakaria.
She also officiated the flag-off ceremony for the convoy participants.
According to Norhaslinda, this year’s event was particularly meaningful as Lumut was once again chosen as the starting point for the Kembara Merdeka tour for the third consecutive year.
The convoy also served as a platform to strengthen ties among the motorcycling community while fostering a greater spirit of patriotism and love for the country.
Beyond the convoy itself, participants were also exposed to safe riding practices while travelling on the roads.
She also expressed her appreciation to Lumut Rukun Tetangga Club (KRT) Chairman Sabaruddin Hassan and the committee members who contributed to the success of the programme.
