IPOH – A resident of Taman Permai, Lebuh Tembok 5, here, has expressed frustration after the area beside his house was repeatedly used as a dumping ground for rubbish and dry branches.
More disappointingly, he was previously issued a compound by enforcement officers for allegedly dumping rubbish at the site.
The situation has caused dissatisfaction as the dumping was actually carried out by other parties.

According to the resident, rubbish, including branches and cut tree trunks, is frequently dumped at the location by irresponsible individuals.
He said the matter had been reported several times to the Ipoh City Council (MBI) for further action.
However, he said that whenever a report was lodged, MBI would come and clear the rubbish dumped at the site.
The resident also appreciated MBI’s concern and prompt action whenever complaints were submitted.

Nevertheless, he questioned whether more effective measures could be taken to prevent certain parties from continuing to use the area as an illegal dumping site.
He hoped MBI could identify those responsible and take preventive measures to ensure the problem does not recur.
He also suggested that the area be monitored or fitted with warning signs prohibiting illegal dumping to safeguard cleanliness and the well-being of residents.
