IPOH – The creative ideas of a group of students from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) were showcased to the public at the Creative Nexus: Showcase & Festival 2026 exhibition at AEON Mall Kinta City.
The exhibition involved students from the Department of Advertising, Faculty of Arts and Social Science (FAS), who highlighted creativity, innovation, as well as health and well-being awareness.
More interestingly, the works on display addressed various issues related to health, well-being and sustainability.

This demonstrates how creativity and visual communication can be utilised as a medium to raise public awareness of social issues and healthcare.
According to UTAR Department of Advertising Head, Dr Nur Afni binti Halil, Creative Nexus is more than just an exhibition of students’ work.
Instead, it serves as a platform for students to communicate their ideas, build confidence and gain exposure to a professional environment.
“This exhibition goes beyond the concept of a traditional showcase as it provides a platform for students to communicate meaningful ideas.
“Students also gain professional exposure and engage with the community through creative expression,” she said.

The exhibition also involved several local companies as collaborative partners and industry clients for the students’ final-year projects.
Through these collaborations, students had the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills acquired in the classroom to real-world situations.
This included developing creative ideas and products based on the requirements, criteria and expectations of actual clients.
The initiative also reflects the commitment of UTAR and the FAS Department of Advertising to providing students with opportunities to develop their potential.
