No Durian Feasts!

State police chief Datuk Mior Faridalathrash Wahid urged the public to refrain from organising any social events in view of the durian season during the ongoing Movement Control Order (MCO) 3.0.

“Usually, people tend to hold durian feasts at these times. However, the MCO SOPs clearly state that gatherings or parties of any kind which attract crowds are absolutely not allowed, not mentioning the prohibition of interdistrict and interstate travelling.”

He told reporters at the Perak Contingent Police Headquarters (IPK) in Ipoh earlier today (June 27).

Mior added, however, Perakeans are still able to have their share of the king of fruits as sellers are allowed to operate.

“Undeniably, everyone wants to enjoy durians. Do so remotely and without gatherings.

“Let’s do our part in stopping the COVID-19 transmission altogether. Durian feasts can wait,” he reminded.
