There are still visitors leaving trash at Teluk Senangin Beach

By Zaki Salleh

MANJUNG: The bad attitude of a few visitors caused the beauty of Teluk Senangin Beach to be polluted. Although various mutual aid and cleaning programmes are carried out, there is still garbage left behind.

Therefore, the efforts of the students of Kolej Poly-Tech MARA (KPTM) Ipoh should be commended for taking the care to keep the public area clean.

Although this programme to clean up rubbish on the coast is to meet the learning needs of community service subjects, their involvement deserves praise.

The programme has the cooperation of the Department of Environmental Health and City Services Zone 3 and the Community and Social Development Department of the Manjung Municipal Council.

A total of 20kg of various rubbish have been collected with the majority being plastic bottles and polystyrene materials.

Hopefully this kind of collaborative programme can be implemented more in the future, involving government agencies and especially students.
