IPOH – In conjunction with World Blood Donor Day celebrated on the 14th of June each year, the Perak State Health Department (PSHD) is organizing a Blood Donation Program on the 28th of July 2023.

The program will take place on Level 3 of the Tabung Haji Building, commencing from 8:30 am until 4:00 pm.

Several criteria have been set for prospective blood donors, including:

  • Donors must be aged between 18 and 60 years old.
  • Those aged 17 years can also donate with parental or guardian consent.
  • Donors above the age of 70 are allowed to participate if they have a history of regular blood donations.

Furthermore, donors are required to be in good physical health and not suffer from heart disease, cancer, or epilepsy. For other medical conditions, advice from a doctor is necessary.

PSHD also reminds donors to bring their identification cards and blood donation booklets, if available.
