Be warned! The menu at CawanMu is extensive. Pages and pages of vibrant local and western temptations that brings together traditional recipes and innovative techniques for us to journey through. Among the stars of this culinary show, here are a few of their signature dishes that are bound to take your taste buds on a joy ride, as it did ours.
The Ayam Penyet truly encapsulated the essence of Malaysian spices. The crispy fried chicken, meticulously seasoned and adorned with fragrant rice, fresh vegetables, and a sambal sauce that added a depth to the flavours of the chicken. It was served beautifully on a platter for us to share.
The succulent Lamb Shank Biryani, a culinary ode to the fusion of local and Indian influences. The lamb shank was so tender, masterfully braised to perfection and beautifully crowns a bed of fragrant nasi biryani. The portions are large here, so be prepared to eat big or share.
This dish elevates steak to an art form, a marriage of textures and flavours that is both exquisite and indulgent.
This dish is accompanied by a prawn sambal that’s simply irresistible! And deserves an encore, especially if you relish a meal with a fiery zest.
