Perak FC and Selangor FC ruckus: Police arrested four men involved at Perak Stadium

IPOH: Police arrested four men who were involved in a commotion between supporters during the football match between Perak FC and Selangor FC at the Perak Stadium  last Saturday night.

Ipoh District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Yahaya Hassan said, the police detected a viral video showing a commotion between Perak FC and Selangor FC supporters at the Perak Stadium through the Whatsapp application.

“The police confirmed that the incident happened at about 9.17pm last Saturday during the Super League football match between Perak FC and Selangor FC.

“The situation was brought under control by the police force on duty at the scene. A total of four local men between the ages of 18 and 26 were arrested for being involved in the commotion,” he said in a statement today.

Yahaya said that a urine screening test on one of the arrestees found a positive result for marijuana.

“All these arrested will be brought to the Ipoh Magistrate’s Court today for an application for remand,” he said.

He said, in addition, the police would like to call on members of the public who witnessed or have any information (videos/photos) about the incident to contact the Ipoh District Police Headquarters (IPD) Senior Criminal Investigation Officer, ASP Chua Sze Yuan at 012-6195312 to help trace supporters involved in the commotion.
