IPOH: Cleanup operations were carried out around the Buntong Public Market, including the collection of garden waste, bulk waste, and illegal dumping in the Taman Idris area.

The cleanup covered areas in Zone 6 Buntong, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Ipoh City Council (MBI).

In a Facebook post, MBI Councillor Lawrence Palanisamy stated that the cleaning efforts were conducted by the Department of Public Health and Municipal Services.

This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to maintain environmental cleanliness and public well-being.

At the same time, the public is reminded not to litter and to play their part in keeping the surroundings clean.

“Cleanliness is a shared responsibility, and cooperation from all parties is crucial in ensuring our areas remain clean and safe to live in,” he said.

He also urged local residents to be more alert to cleanliness issues and to report any illegal dumping to the local authorities for further action.
