BAGAN SERAI: The area is expected to be filled with the “sweet aroma” of durians this week as Grade A and B kampung durians will be sold at exceptionally low prices for five days starting this Thursday.
The sale, held in front of the Bagan Serai Bus Station, will open from 3 p.m. daily until stocks run out.
Interestingly, Grade A durians will be sold at only RM75 for 10 kilograms (kg), while Grade B durians will cost RM56 for 10 kilograms — a price far cheaper than the usual market rate of RM12 to RM15 per kilogram.
According to the organizers, the promotion is limited to the first 50 customers only, and the public is encouraged to come early to seize the chance to enjoy the “king of fruits” at an affordable yet high-quality price.
In addition to kampung durians, “durian kahwin” (crossbred durians) will also be offered for those who prefer a richer and creamier flavor.
