IPOH: Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) is offering four additional ETS train services in conjunction with the third-term school holidays and Christmas celebration.
According to KTMB’s statement, the additional ETS services covering 22,680 tickets will operate from 11 December 2025 to 11 January 2026.

They include the KL Sentral–Padang Besar–KL Sentral and KL Sentral–Butterworth–KL Sentral routes.
Ticket sales are open from 10 a.m. daily.
Two additional ETS services will be provided daily for the Padang Besar–KL Sentral–Padang Besar route, while another two services will operate every weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) for the Butterworth–KL Sentral–Butterworth route.
“These additional ETS services are part of KTMB’s efforts to meet high demand when tickets for regular ETS services sell out,” the company said in its statement.
The rail operator also encouraged the public to plan their trips and purchase tickets early to enjoy more affordable fares.
“Passengers are reminded to arrive at the station 30 minutes earlier, as gates will close five minutes before departure,” it added.
Earlier this week, the rail operator recorded a milestone when 82,896 ETS and Intercity tickets were sold within 24 hours for travel between 1 January and 30 April.
